Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices turkey ham
  • 3 tbsp olive oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the chicken breasts by pounding them to an even 1/2-inch thickness
  2. Set up three shallow bowls – one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper
  3. Dredge each chicken breast first in flour, then egg, then the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through
  5. Top each chicken breast with a slice of turkey ham, then a slice of Swiss cheese. Cover the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted
  6. While chicken cooks, whisk together all honey mustard sauce ingredients in a small bowl until smooth
  7. Serve chicken immediately with honey mustard sauce drizzled over the top or on the side for dipping

Notes

Don't overcrowd the pan – cook in batches if necessary to maintain crispiness. For a thinner sauce, add a teaspoon of water. For thicker sauce, refrigerate for 15 minutes before serving. For a baking option, bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.
