Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash the green beans thoroughly and pat them completely dry with a kitchen towel. This helps them crisp up nicely in the oven.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, making sure each bean is lightly coated.
  4. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) to the bowl. Toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  5. Spread the green beans in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding - this ensures they roast instead of steam.
  6. Roast for 15-20 minutes, tossing halfway through, until the beans are tender-crisp and starting to brown at the edges.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. The residual heat will melt the cheese perfectly.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

For the crispiest results, make sure green beans are completely dry before tossing with oil. Don't skip tossing halfway through cooking for even browning. Can be made in air fryer at 400°F for 8-10 minutes. Reheat leftovers in oven to maintain crispness - microwaving will make them soggy.
