Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, ensuring they're evenly coated.
  3. Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt to the bowl. Toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  4. Spread the seasoned green beans in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 15-20 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until the beans are tender-crisp and starting to brown at the edges.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

Choose fresh beans, don't overcrowd the pan, use fresh garlic instead of powder, and grate your own Parmesan for better melting and flavor.
